FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PADDLES UP! IT'S DRAGON BOAT TIME!
We are pleased to announce our 7th Annual Gulf Coast International Dragon Boat Regatta will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the beautiful Brooks Lake at Fluor's corporate campus in Sugar Land, Fort Bend County. Dragon boat racing is the ultimate team-building activity for 25 team members. It does not matter if your team is strong or experienced -- they just need to be together as they propel across the finish line -- and that is where we come in.
Our event has come to be known as one of the largest multicultural and team-building activities in Fort Bend bringing in over 5,000 visitors who want to see the action both on and off the water. In addition to exciting dragon boat races, we will have diverse arts-and-crafts, Asian cuisine and cultural performances for all who attend. Admission and parking are free.
This Regatta is sponsored by the City of Sugar Land and First Colony Community Associtation. Our honorary co-chairs include Honorable Bob Hebert (Fort Bend County Judge), Betty Baitland (President Exchange Club of SL), James Levermann (CEO of St. Luke's Sugar Land) and Matthew McSorley (VP of Fluor Corp) as well as Sugar Land's own Council member, the honorable Jacquie Chaumette.
Teams and Sponsorship opportunities are still available so contact the Executive Director, Eve Ruhlman at (director@texasdragonboat.com) if you have any further questions or interests in joining us. We look forward to your participation and attendance!
