Be a Youth Team Sponsor

The international popularity of dragon boat racing makes it a multicultural sport. The skills learned in dragon boat racing extend into life with leadership, teamwork, and physical fitness. For that reason, we are actively outreaching to include youth teams in our upcoming events and year-round league. It is important to grow and develop the base of the sport by recruiting and training youth throughout the city and from surrounding areas.

We are currently working with the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and local high schools to field teams. The youth of Houston will have the opportunity to experience the teamwork, recreation, competition, and physical fitness currently enjoyed by the adult teams. Youth teams will be coached in the skills of dragon boating required to be victorious on the water.

Now we need your help! If your company or organization would like to sponsor a youth team, please contact us at sponsors@texasdragonboat.com.
